Showcase: Dreadfleet The Black Kraken

Painting the Flaming Scimitar sucked out all my enthusiasm for painting Dreadfleet models. The Black Kraken has restored my faith in the awesomeness of the models in this game. This was so much fun to paint, the model has something that none of the other models in the game has... motion! It actually looks like it is moving with all those iron tentacles writhing in the air.

Not only is it fun to paint, it's also one of the easier models to paint because it doesn't feature sails with detailed graphics on them, and you don't have to paint it in sub-assemblies either. The next ship I will work on will be Grimnir's Thunder, which also looks simple to paint.
