Showcase: Ork Mek Boss Buzzgob

Buzzgob was the final model that I painted for a commission this week that also included 90 Ork Boyz. And I feel completely exhausted now. It was quite a daunting project. I used Vallejo Olive Drab for the skin tone and Mig pigments for the weathered effects. Buzzgob was quite a surprising model as he is almost twice the height of a regular Ork. I didn't realize how large he actually was going to be. He's certainly in my books as a pretty cool model and a fun one to paint. What do you think?

  1. I like the faded pigment around his mouth. Also, very cool sketch on the grot's chart. It gives the trio a feel like they are directing the construction of a gargant.

  2. I really, really like the muted skintones. So much better than those garish green orks you usually see.

  3. Really reminiscent of the colour schemes used for artwork of Paul Bonner for GW years back in da good ol waagh dayz. I am loving the pigment changes around the muzzle of the face. I'll definately try that colour scheme out one day.

  4. Hey all, I only used Mig pigment for the dusting the base etc. The skin was painted with Vallejo olive drab and the mouth area was airbrushed Vallejo flat tan. All paints are from Vallejo model air range. Chris
