Stahly: In this monthly section we want to recap the progress of our "Tale of Mega Painters" project, a motivational project by Garfy and me. Basically we want to push ourselves to paint up a Dark Eldar and Necron Megaforce respectively. In my case to start a new army, in Garfy's case to expand his small collection of Necrons. More about "Tale of Mega Painters" can be found in our kick-off post here. Click "more after the jump" to review all the models we painted this month.

Stahly: This month I finally managed to complete work on my Scourges. These took ages to paint. They are so detailed and full of different textures. But I'm very happy with how they turned out. Stay tuned for some more high quality shots of them, above is a little teaser from the photo shoot. As I resolved to do last month, I also started working on a Venom and made good progress. For July, I'm going to paint the Venom and then I'll take a little break from Tale of Mega Painters. I'm not sure what my next project will be, I'd love to give my Ultramarines some love as I haven't painted something for them in ages, but then it's Eldar month and even though the new releases left me underwhelmed, I feel the obligation to paint something for my warhost of Saim-Hann. What do you want to see next - Ultramarines or Eldar? Tell me in the comments.

Now, over to Garfy.

Garfy: Month 4 was a complete success. Deathmarks and Scarabs completed. I'm really settling into my paint scheme now. I'm on holiday for the first week of June, so will only have three weeks of actual hobby time. With this in mind I will pledge to paint a single Canoptek Spyder. I want to work on this model because it generates Scarabs, so makes sense to paint this one next. With all the legs of the robotic creature I don't think it's a job for the airbrush so I will be painting it the old fashion way with a brush.

Do you want to join in?

Stahly and I would like to open this project up to everyone. All you need to do is be a member of the Tale of Painters blog list and be working on a GW army that you're blogging about. If you want to have your work featured on the Tale of Painters blog, drop me an email at garfy.taleofpainters@gmail.com with a link to your blog. Make sure you include a couple of pictures and a couple of paragraphs about your project. I look forward to hearing from you.
