I love playing around with my camera and trying to create more cinematic scenes of my Hobbit models. I took the above shot with my DSLR on a tripod with a 25 second exposure. I used a red light to illuminate the centre of the picture for 10 seconds and then lit the left and right hand sides for 7.5 seconds each using a white light. Once it had finished exposing it looked quite good. You can see "normal" shots after the jump.
Luckily, Bill, Bert and Tom didn't turn to stone when I took their picture with the flash on. I am really happy with how they turned out. I've wanted to add them to my collection since they first came out.
Whilst the Trolls aren't huge plastic kits when compared to some of the big Warhammer 40,000 kits, they do however tower over the Dwarves and Bilbo Baggins. I love this kit, the sculpts are very very good. The only downside is you only get three 60mm bases. You don't get one for the camp fire. I had to buy a separate bag of bases for that. I think the campfire looks better on a base.
